SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainable Development Goals - Our Committment

SEP is committed to supporting the Global Goals with a clear focus on SDG 1 No Poverty, SDG 3 Good Health & Wellbeing, and SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities.

The SEP mission is to bring thousands of refugees above the poverty line, through employment. Our goal is to be a sustainable brand in order to increase the chances of a bright future for the artists who are working with SEP, who happen to be refugees.

What is an SDG? The Sustainable Development Goals are a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all"; they were set in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and intended to be achieved by the year 2030.  We have 10 years to achieve them: time flies! The concept of urgency is eloquently made by itmustbeNOW in their articles and manifesto.

The 17 SDGs are integrated—that is, they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability.

Through the pledge to Leave No One Behind, countries have committed to fast-track progress for those furthest behind first. That is why the SDGs are designed to bring the world to several life-changing ‘zeros’, including zero poverty, hunger, AIDS and discrimination against women and girls.

SEP Jordan was founded in 2014 and started operations in 2015: it is a beautiful coincidence that our business model was designed to be not only compliant with the SDG's, but to directly advance at least 6 of the 17, with a clear focus on: SDG 1 No Poverty, SDG 3 Good Health & Wellbeing, and SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities.
